I’m slowly adapting to life out here in the rainforest, or what is locally called the Elfin rainforest here. It’s more mossy and dry than what you would typically think of a rainforest, but gorgeous none the less!
I wasn’t sure if i had shown you my camp yet, but here it is, little city of tents we havemdubbed bird land, or last i heard thats what it’s called!
It’s quite chilly at night, down into what i believe is around the low thirties, but there is no way to tell without a thermometer. It’s really cold though and getting out of my down sleeping big is hard in the morning! Luckily i always have to pee so bad that i have to get out of bed no matter what!
Otherwise things have been as pretty normally here. We have been catching birds, or trying, everyday out in the field and observing flowers. There are certainly s lot of birds around, some of them we just can’t catch! Little devils, they are supposed to come right to us!
You can’t help but squeal, right? These are certainly entertaining birds to say the least!
Well, i have just taken my second hot shower in 5 weeks and it’s made me ready for bed! Sorry for the short post, but i also have to hike a half hourjust to get to camp! Ouch!
