The Time Has Come

It’s here everyone; the time is finally here.  I’m leaving for Peru, TODAY.

This trip has literally come up so fast that everything has been a blur up to this point. I’m still trying to figure out if I have everything I need and I leave for the airport in oh…an hour.  Haha, typical me, procrastinate as long as I possibly can. I did, at leas I believe, finish packing last night.  It went from this mayhem:

To this:

Three months of my life is in here, including a very large jar of peanut butter (because who leaves the states without some pb, right?!) and copious amounts of granola bars. I know some of you might be thinking, why is she not just going to eat all the local stuff?  Well, living in the rainforest limits you from typical Peruvian cuisine that I might find in a town…as I’ll most of the time while working be living off of beans and rice.  Sounds delicious, right?

I had a good weekend, stressful a bit, but good with my family, Whit and going to see my kitty one last time:

And now…I’m about to leave for the airport.  I’ve got a connecting flight from Miami to Peru so I’ll either see you in Miami or…Peru!!!!

I can’t wait to read about your new job and your big life changes. I’m glad you got everything packed, it has to be a challenge to fit three months of your life in those bags. Heck, I don’t know if I could fit three DAYS worth of stuff in them. Good luck with everything and keep blogging!
