Insanity Update

First off, I want to thank Bobbi so much for bringing this workout regime into my life because no joke, it’s changed so much for the better.  But, on top of that, had it not been for her 30 day Shred back in December, which I continued into January and February before this started in the middle of March, I do not believe I would have been able to do Insanity.  No joke.  It was definitely hard in the beginning and still is everyday to various extents, but I don’t know that I would have been able to start it in the beginning at all!  Hah, oh the irony….

Anyways, I just started my fourth week and it’s amazing the results that I’ve noticed already.  As much as I thought it might bother me for this challenge, I did weigh myself, take some measurements and photos of my progress just to see how things changed.

I am only weighing in and remeasuring every two weeks, unlike some in our group that are doing it every week.  It has been amazing to see the small transformations that have already occurred and I’m excited to see where it is going to go on in the next 6 weeks that are left!  What has changed you ask?  A seriously amount of…everything!

As of March 24th when I weighed in and took my measurements, I was down by a pound, but the measurements is what I was certainly surprised over.  I saw losses and gains almost everywhere that I thought it would happen, but really with the way I had been eating, never expected any of it!  I’m not going to post any numbers, but lets just say my hips, waist and thighs have slimmed down anywhere from a 1/4-1/2 inch each and the amount of pushups and my endurance are through the roof!  I was even able to enjoy a nice 1 mile jog after my workout yesterday with the girls with no pain in my hip (yay!) and didn’t even feel like it had been more than a month since I had even gone for a run!!!

One major change I’ve started to notice is my appetite.  With the combination of the all hiking I’m doing for work on top of the Insanity, on an average day I could eat up to 2500 calories, which at first I was totally floored over! But hey, how can I complain about needing to eat more?  The only problem I have is getting in enough food while I’m out in the field! It’s hard!!!  At least I brought this baby with me for morning/evening smoothies!!!

There’s my update on Insanity and I’ll probably do another one in a few weeks to see how things are going, as it’s going to get even more intense with the next set of DVD’s we get to do!! EEK!

  2. i am so amazed you are rocking this out!! i tried it and just stunk at it. i don’t know if it’s all the health stuff or what, but i really want to try it again because everyone keeps getting such good results

      Thanks Amanda! You should definitely give it a try again! I am amazed every time I do one of the workouts at how much stronger I am!!!
