Stress Release

I was all ready for the weekend and then just got stressed out! Not only is it snowing, but I guess I’ve accumulated a little more than I thought over the past two years of being in one spot…so packing it all up is taking a bit longer and more difficult than possible.  So in order to take a break and help myself destress a little I thought I’d do Janetha’s A-Z survey that everyone is doing…I know, I know, I just did a survey like this not too long ago…but hey, it’s fun to learn about each other, right?!

A is for age: 26, but sometimes I feel like I’m 30, and people are starting to say I look it…sad times?

B is for breakfast today: A simple bowl of oatmeal made with water, cinnamon an apple and some unsalted PB.  Just what I needed with that snow falling outside.

C is for currently craving: Just food.  Starting Insanity has driven my appetite through the roof!  I know I’m not eating enough because I keep getting night sweats at night. No fun!

D is for dinner tonight: Still unknown…I just finished eating a bunch of dried apples and granola so who knows if a real dinner will even happen at this point!

E is for favorite type of exercise: You guys all know how much I love running, but these bootcamps I’ve started to do, plus Insanity, are starting to grown on me!  Definitely makes me feel like I’m running and sweating just as much!

F is for an irrational fear: Of drowning from a bridge falling out from under me while I’m driving.  This started a few years ago when I was traveling across all the bridges going over Louisiana and Alabama…ahhh.

G is for gross food: I don’t really think anything is gross, well, other than liver, but do think that certain foods FEEL gross to touch, including: avocado, banana, raw butternut squash and soggy bread.  haha!

H is for hometown: Anaheim, Ca.  Welcome to Disneyland!  If you go, give me a call; I don’t live far away!

I is for something important: Dinners with the family.  And time with the boy.  Nothing more important than that!

J is for current favorite jam: I actually don’t like jam.  The only thing I use similar to that is TJ’s Cranberry Apple Spread…I can eat that on anything!

K is for kids: None for now…or for a while.  Just me and my fur-baby!

L is for current location: Uh…I’m currently in transit, and will be for about 6 months.  But I’m starting out new Palm Springs, CA and working my way towards the beach!

M is for the most recent way you spent money: Just two weeks ago I forked out a pretty sweet amount of money to get my Insanity Challenge pack, which not only included the Insanity DVDs but also 30 packs of Shakeology which I must say, are pretty tasty!  Otherwise, money has only been spent on packing materials…

N is for something you need: I need a new stomach to agree with me, a drug to help keep me from stressing out and my kitty to be able to travel and stay with me at all the hotels I have to live in for the next six months!  And I need lots of clean eating food pre made for me to help me get through this Insanity Challenge…because I’m not doing too well. haha!

O is for occupation: I’m an Avian Field Biologist.  How many people do you know with that title? LOL.  And I love it!

P is for pet peeve: People that talk with their mouths open, or speak the lines of movies while they’re watching the movie.  Drives me crazy!

Q is for a quote: I don’t really have a favorite quote, but there are certainly a few that I really like!

R is for random fact about you: My pinkies crack every time I bend them.  No matter what, and I don’t know why.

S is for favorite healthy snack: PB and oranges.  There is just something about the salty/sweet/tart combo that I love!

T is for favorite treat: Chocolate covered strawberries.  I love it when they have crushed graham crackers sprinkled on it too.

U is for something that makes you unique: I’m young and I’m a birder for one, then do it for work.  There simply just aren’t that many people that do that.

V is for favorite vegetable: Roasted butternut squash hands down.  I love it with lots of spices though, not sweet with honey or butter.  Bleck!

W is for today’s workout: I was supposed to do an Insanity workout but I’m so tired I resorted to a short walk with Whit and…a nap. :)

X is for X-rays you’ve had: Um…both of my hands, my ankle, my middle toe on my left foot…I’m sure the list could go on.  I’ve had lots of broken bones.

Y is for yesterday’s highlight: I finished my second to last day of work with my current company and had just a great night hanging out with my boy.  He also got to finally show me his new car that he bought earlier in the week!

Z is for your time zone: Pacific, thank goodness! I don’t know what I would do without being on this coast! I love it!!!  We have the best sunsets!!!!  (and sunrises of course)

    Love this survey :). I’m probably going to do it myself in a day or so. Good luck with your moving, purging your stuff to move, and traveling. Hope you can get some stress relief, too- thinking of you!

    Yay! You’re moving to Palm Springs? I lived there for awhile and had some good times!

    Hope you feel better soon. And you’re not the only one with the irrational fear of falling bridges… I have that too!

  4. Yay! I love reading these surveys. :) I have that exact same bridge fear. Especially when I’m in a traffic jam and can’t get on and off the bridge right away! Also, I am SO glad you’re enjoying Insanity, and I definitely have to agree with you on those Pacific coast/western sunsets. My favorite!
