Hi Everyone! I hope you’re having a great weekend, and I’m sure many of you are trying just to keep warm! Lucky you with all the snow! This is a picture my brother showed me in NYC at Columbia:
Yeah, I’m glad I’m not there! Yikes!
I haven’t done much this weekend as I’ve been dealing with some emotions that I’ll discuss later, but I took the time to work on something that has always been hard for me: making friends. I went on another Audubon birding field trip and made friends with a nice lady who is just learning how to bird, and lives not too far from me! I even took Whit with me (poor guy, he froze so badly, as did I) and bribed him with a brunch of eggs benedict at a local restaurant, in which my new friend joined in on with us!
Our walk in the woods was absolutely gorgeous and we ended up seeing almost 30 species in a few hours! It was nice to be in the woods instead of the desert looking for birds. Oh, and the sun, because I was seriously frozen to the core. My raynaud’s syndrome was on high and I’m still feeling the tingling and uncomfortable feeling almost 10 hours later…boo.
Otherwise, I also need to update you about this stomach issus that I’ve been dealing with, in which I’ve already gone through a round of medication and may have to end up getting a colonoscopy…eww. So in the midst of taking those meds, I’ve been living off of these things…and thank goodness for them!
Gotta love ginger…love of my life. Now I just need some ginger cookies…lol.
Have a great weekend! Stay warm!
