Current status: Waddling like a penguin. At least it’s a bird walk…right? Like birder like bird? No? Ok… But thank you so much to everyone for all the encouragement and great comments on my SD Marathon Race Recap!
It’s been a rough day having to get up to my second story apt and jumping out of a lifted doge ram truck for work. It’s been interesting to say the least…
Anyhow, I started my morning at my parents and with the smoothie I’d been wanting all weekend long! It was a normal vega protein powder, berries, spinach and water topped with cereal. I also had a muffin on the side because I was still hungry…my post race hunger is slowly starting to come back. And when I say slow, I mean slowly. I think my stomach shrunk to the size of a tennis ball. Odd.
I made guacamole for Whit for some breakfast and actually ended up eating lots of chips with a bit of guac before we hit the road to get me back to my place and go to work. Yep, no day off after a marathon for me! I munched on some trail mix on the way home but my belly was feeling off so I didn’t have much. Hate that feeling.
I did a watch for about 5 hours before getting back home and finally feeding myself something other than trail mix, and that wasn’t sweet. I swear, almost two packs of gu chomps for that race has me running away from sweet stuff! So all I wanted for dinner was savory and my hummus, egg and lettuce wrap hit the spot. I didn’t eat the mango and instead had another tortilla with hummus and a some cucumber slices because I still didn’t want the sweet. Blech.
I snacked on some carrots afterwards and a handful of cheerios before getting ready to call it a night.
I looked up my race pictures to show you all but they’ve suddenly disappeared and can’t be found. I actually like them a lot too!!!! Hopefully they’ll be back up tomorrow. Definitely something I might buy!!!
