…days. It was definitely one of those days. For some reason I couldn’t get going all day long and never had a want for anything in particular to eat…goodness gracious.
But, lets look at the bright side of the day…eh?
First of all, I absolutely loved all your answers to my Thoughts from yesterday…your positive attitudes were absolutely radiant! It was certainly a pick me up as I read them throughout the day!
Breakfast was nothing short of…normal. But boy oh boy was it nice to have my apple pb oats after quick breakfasts all of last weekend and this week!
Along with TJ’s awesome cranberry spread…what more could I ask for?!
The morning out in the field was…the morning. I wasn’t feeling all there and just went with it. But definitely made the effort to appreciate the clear sky and beauty of it all.
Doesn’t my Jeep look like it should be in a commercial? Hehe…
I never felt any hunger, but started getting a headache, which is one of my body’s signals that it’s hungry. I went out to dinner with a coworker last night and brought leftovers for lunch: 1/2 a vegetable calzone, sans the cheese. I actually added some hummus to it this morning for flavor and protein!
Then it was out to the canyon! I missed the pretty mustangs!
I feel bad for them because we have a nasty winter storm ready to hit the mountains tomorrow night…I always wonder where they go and how they stay warm during the snowy days/nights…
While driving around all afternoon I snacked on a handful of dry roasted cashews, which were paired with some tasty chocolate chips…great pick me up when I was totally wanting to just take a nap!
I was exhausted by the time I got home and thought of skipping my workout, but I thought it actually might help life my energy if I went and just got it done. I took it easy and ran 4 miles in 38:30 at a 1% incline. But don’t let that fool you, because it was absolute torture. I wanted to stop two seconds into it, but gave it a shot till I was so bored I could have cried.
I’ve been skipping my 2x weekly strength training sessions so I gave it some effort when I got home for about 20-25 minutes. I did a body circuit once, rolled over, and was just ready to be clean and eat.
While I was running I was concocting a great tofu dinner with green onions, kale and baby bella mushrooms with leftover potatoes but while taking a shower completely lost the desire at all to have it. I ended up thinking I wanted some soy yogurt w/ some fruit I bought, but as soon as I reentered the kitchen and saw all the tofu and veggies, I was back to wanting it! My body is just crazy today!
I sauteed up a handful of kale, two green onions, 4 mushrooms and 1/2 a block of drained tofu, all with the leftover potatoes from earlier in the week.
Now I’m snacking on a piece of blackberry chocolate chip bread and ready for bed. I don’t care if it’s only 8.30…but my mom says I need to stay up and watch Bones. I think I need to catch up on the last two episodes of White Collar I’ve missed…what do you think? I’m favoring WC’s Neal over Bone’s David right now…swoon…such a hotty.
