[[Side Note: I wish…
There are so many things I could and would wish for…so may material things and such…but in reality, all I want is happiness, for myself and everyone around me. Everyday, all the time, from the second they wake up to when they fall asleep.
I want happiness for my wonderful parents, who have supported me through everything high and low in my life. I mean, they fly everywhere and do everything for me no matter where I go and whatever mischief I get into…Broken car in Florida? Help driving home from Texas after breakup? Studying in Australia? Shenanigans in England, Ireland and Wales?
I want happiness for my brothers as they graduate from college, find the jobs of their dreams and work on finding the right girl to make them laugh, smile and never cry.
I want happiness for my best friend Emily who I’ve known since I was in kindergarten and wish I could see more often, share more stories, laughter and have crazy adventures with.
I want happiness for my Grandma, thought technically my neighbor I have known since I was born and know her as none other than Grandma Gwen, as she has been through so much but is still well and in wonderful spirits at the grand age of 8_?! I shall never reveal a woman’s age! (haha)
I want happiness for all the friends I have made since well, as long as I’ve been alive. Whether it be elementary, junior high, high school, college and beyond…you all deserve the best this world has to offer.
I (still) want happiness for those who have broken my heart or something of the sort over the years because I learned so many things from them, experienced so many adventures and can’t help but smile at their memories.
I want happiness for so many of the bloggers I have become so close to over the years and can’t thank enough for all the support, kind words and shoulders to cry on they always provide.

And of course, I want happiness for myself. There are so many things I have done and things I have yet to do…not a day to waste!
I have a super early wake up call for work tomorrow so I have to hit the sack really early tonight! I needed this post to bring a bit of a smile to my face as I need a spirit lifter (the moodiness…you know how it ebbs and flows during the month…) and hope that it makes you remember some of the fun things you’ve done, the people you’ve met, even those who have made you cry, and how you have so much to look forward to in your life.
Know you are worth it. I believe you are. ]]

This post is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this
And what a great message to end the post with…that is definitely something we ALL need to remember every day.
yep…i wish for a lot…but deep inside i want…not even happiness (i dont know what that is)…but i just wish for peace and contentment.
There are so many things that happen in the world on a daily basis that are out of our control. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you and the people you care for are healthy and happy. I think it takes a really strong and mature person to look back on people in your past that have hurt you and honestly just hope the best for them. I loved reading this beautiful post and seeing all the lovely people in your life! Thanks so much for sharing.
Such a sweet post! I wish happiness for you too…you deserve it. I love reading your blog.
I think that at the end of the day, my biggest wish is just to be content with my life.
What a beautiful, wonderful post!!!
Beautiful beautiful post Melissa… seriously, just what I needed right now. It reminds me that we have to just go out there and LIVE, no matter what. Life is short and not always fun but the hard times make us thankful for the good times, you know? And you've had SUCH good times in your past and I just know that there are more in your future.. even BETTER than you can even imagine!!! And I find it so admirable that you can hope for happiness for even those that have hurt you in one way or the other.. because that is HARD. And it shows how gorgeous you are, both inside AND outside!
Love you!!

I LOVE this post. Thank you! Reminds me of what the Dalai Lama says, that at the core of everything we do, what we're really seeking IS happiness…
Beautiful, inspiring and positive post. Loved it and just what I needed. Find it intriguing that you put all the wishes for the others before you put yourself though! And I have to echo Jess – saying you can still wish well for those who have hurt you in some way or another shows a strenght very few have. You should be proud
