Wow, what an end to my stay in FLORIDA.
How about my last run in Homestead?
Getting lost and not quite sure how to get back home?
But it was perfect and ended up being 10 miles just like I wanted it to! And I completed it in 1.30hr exactly! Whoo hooo!
I came back and did last minute packing and laundry and had the same cereal/yogurt combo as yesterday for breakfast before heading out the door for my 6.5 hr drive to Gainesville to see Lindsey!
And lunch/snacks today looked like this:
trail mix…
Boysenberry fruit leather…
SoBe life water zero, odwalla superfood bar and more water (that’s actually the 4th one I had gone through by 3pm!)…run this morning dehydrated me beyond believe!
and pb pretzel nuggets.
I didn’t pack a lunch cause I’m lame and after running 10 miles this morning, that was a huge mistake. Thank goodness by the time I got to G-ville Linds and her man were ready for dinner! To Moe’s we go!
I got the vegetarian tacos (it included two) with rice, beans and salsa with guac on the side. There are actually two there, but I only ate one…those chips filled me up! I had some awesome tomatillo salsa for dipping on the side. The other taco I’m saving for dinner/lunch tomorrow!
And really, I was more excited about dessert because it was the return of my awesome SELF SERVE FRO YO!!!!!!
Enter: Mochi. Lind’s new favorite place.
I tried the tart pineapple before serving myself because it seemed intriguing…
O.M.G. HEAVEN.
This place has quite a few toppings to put on top and I chose a few, but only for the tart part of my cup…
I ended up getting the tart pineapple with fresh boysenberries and strawberries, and the cookies and cream w/o toppings on the other side…so smooth and cool…
My gracious hostess’!
When we got home I tried a cookie Lindsey had made that was actually more of a mistake…but I’ll let her share that with you. They were still very tasty!
I got hungry a bit later and snacked on 1/2 a piece of my berry chocolate chip bread…and now I’m ready for bed.
Tomorrow is another 7+hr drive, hopefully the weather will cooperate and I’ll make it safely to Mobile, Alabama!!!
See you in MOBI(EEEEEEEEEE)LE!!! (apparently it’s apparent I’m from the west coast because I don’t say Mobile correctly…what can I say? I’m a west coast girl through and through!)

Congrats on a great 10-miler! I would have eaten the leather off my car seats if I ran 10 miles and then didn't pack myself a lunch, hehee.
I still haven't tried froyo-I feel like a foodie failure. A new place just opened in St. Louis, though..so I hope that I won't be a froyo virgin much longer.
Awesome job on the run and what a fun day. I have still never had self serve froyo…one day!!
Fun, fun, FUN! That fro yo looks absolutely, positively, ridiculously amazing
) Hurray for hostess Lindsey!
Congrats on the 10 miles, too! Moe's sounds like a great way to celebrate such a feat.
Have a SAFE DRIVE!
Any chance you need to pass through Portland, on your way to CA? Have a safe journey!
whoa lady, 10 miles? i'm lucky to do one straight, haha. yummy froyo, that is a great flava! have fun in mobile, can't wait to hear all about it. my cousin lives there!
Sounds like you had a fabulous day! I wish we had decent fro yo over here but no.. I guess we'll have to wait 10 years or so until the trend reaches Switzerland, haha.
Love that you had so much fun with Lindsey! See you in Alabama
Geez, ten miles + a lunchless drive? You crazy, girl.
I now have a craving (obviously) for self-serve fro-yo. Unfortunately, our local place doesn't have boysenberries. Curses!
Aaah Mochi is seriously like 2 blocks from where I live! I'm sorry I missed you
Ten miles? Bam. You're hardcore!
And … tart pineapple froyo? YES PLEASE!
Have a safe trip!
I just saw that Mochi place on another blog yesterday. It sounds like a great froyo pit stop!
Safe travels to Mobile, Melissa!!!
Aww, I miss you already! Wishing you an awesome journey along the way.
Congrats on the 10 miler!! Awesome time, too
I love self-serve fro yo bars…you can use as much or as little of the toppings as you want! Hope you have a safe trip girl!!
