Can we tell I’ve been in a bit of a daydreaming state this weekend?  Hell, just today to say the least!

At least while all that is occurring, I’m getting some rest finally!  Unless you count the speed workout I did this afternoon that somehow pissed off an injury I just figured out I’ve had for just over a week and a half!

Oh yes, that would be my inner thigh being iced.  Boohizzle.  Whatev.  Three days of running back to back was too much.  Rest day tomorrow!

Anyhow…I have found a new savoir for the blog and my photos: PHOTOSHOP.  I think pure laziness is what has kept me from enhancing my photos with this baby…and now, damn, they’re looking HOT!

Breakfast?

I had anticipated on running a 10 miler today, but knew that wasn’t going to happen with the mood I woke up in.  I changed up the workout to a speed workout and decided on a mock 5k at the park.  Well, because it started POURING, for HOURS, my Sunbutter/Cinnamon Raisin Bagel/Banana breakfast digested through and I was hungry, again.

As I waited for the rain to settle I snacked on a Pumpkin Muffin I made this morning with some fresh ground Roasted Cashew Butter I got a small amount of to try at WF this weekend.  HOT.DAMN.

The flavor combo here of sweet and slightly salty was phenomenal.  I was in love…and could have easily eaten many more had I not pushed myself out the door.  Hah!

I shot off to the park and did a 10 minute warm up around the neighborhood before running my 5k.  I probably had the distance a bit off since I just using Google’s Pedometer feature, but I finished the 3.1 miles in just over 25 minutes, which isn’t bad for me!  I was pushing it when I started to feel myself fall back and I believe that’s what gave me a good time!

But to be honest, I don’t know if it was the humidity, heat, the lack/long time of no food or sleep…but I was so weak by the time I finished.  I had to hold on a pole for a bit too long for me to feel safe.  It was pretty bad…But after a bit of water and I did a cool down of another 10 minutes, and a lot of stretching.

I knew exactly what I wanted when I got home from my run: SMOOTHIE!!!

I had one more shake package from YouBar and was excited to try it today!  I used the Blissful Shake packet with a 1/2C each of blackberries, blueberries and raspberries, along with 1/2C USAB, and topped it off with the last of my Kashi Strawberry Fields Cereal and a bit of Kashi Go Lean Crunch.

Again, I couldn’t pick just one picture to show you.  I know they show the same thing…but I was loving the angle and the brightness!  Do you guys like seeing more than one view of a meal someone posts about?

I watched a few movies and caught up on my own blog (maintenance…I don’t sit around and read it…) while snacking on a trail mix made of chocolate chips, cranberries, raisins and dry roasted peanuts.  It was around 1/2C worth.

I had planned to have this for lunch but because of my workout time change I decided to just save it for dinner!  I couldn’t wait to devour it!

I took a Flat Out Wrap, melted some Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese, layered on some leftover eggplant, tomatoes, lettuce and artichokes…

with a side of strawberries…

Can I have another stomach?  So I can have this meal all over again?  Yes?  Please?

I know there will be a dessert later on…but who knows what it’ll be!

Hope you all had a good weekend!  I’m already looking forward to next weekends as I get to go to a Blogger Event Friday night and a Miami Blogger Meetup Dinner Saturday night!  Yay for the weekends!  Since I only have two left after that before I LEAVE!!!  Only 21 days left!

Not to get all "Classicist" on you, but that's a picture of the Colosseum in Rome, not Athens. I'd happily go to either, though :-)

What a great day of eats! I day dream all the time about flying off to an exotic spot. It's easy to do while sitting at a desk all day long. :/
