I had my outboard training today along with taking my written and knot test! I didn’t sink the boat (or anyone in it getting thrown off) and I passed my test! Yay!
But do I get to relax? NO! We have nasty nest checks tomorrow (I keep repeating to myself as I whine, “I love my job…I love my job…I never want to sit at a desk for 8 hrs…I love my job…I love my job…”) and other craziness but then we get Sunday off (in which I’m hoping if all goes well tomorrow, I’ll be in Tampa watching and visiting Meghann and Caitlin while they run their races, along w/ meeting lots of other bloggers for lunch!)
Then it’s back down to the Glades for gosh knows how long as our official season starts on the 1st in which, ergo: madness. Yack.
Anyhow…here are today’s eats. I woke up at 5.45am this morning to do work out! Yay for me being hardcore! I so didn’t want to get out of bed because i was so exhausted but alas, I did…and did my workout on the treadmill (GASP! We know how I HATE the treadmill!) I ran a solid 4 miles, which went like this:
- 0.0-0.5: 9.15 min mile pace
- 0.5-3.0: 8 min mile pace
- 3.0-4.0: 7.30 mile pace (holy moly I was hauling butt!)
It was good and I was watching the news so I was entertained (I live where we don’t have tv…so news is def a rarity!). I felt good afterwards, though my quad was def a little soar…must ice tonight now.
Breakfast was the same as it has been all week since we have no refridgeration or microwave: Breakfast cookie~ This one had rolled oats, dried raspberries, cinnamon, banana and an apple cinnamon zbar. Was def delish and lasted me until 1pm (when I ate it at 7.30am!)
Lunch was in a hurry at the ramp right before my test: maple pb w/ banana on ww and 3/4 of an orange (I shared w/ my coworker).
We headed out and did some outboard boat driving then had to head back to our trailer and endure the 3 HOUR DRIVE BACK, in which I got to sit in the back btw two boys…joy. But I def fell asleep. Hah…and my head tilted so far to the left it still hurts. I also had a caramel brownie luna bar.
Dinner was FABULOUS. I wanted something w/ lots of veggies and fresh and omg homemade. I came close. 1/8 of a pineapple w/ 1/2 a butternut squash as fries, mixed salad w/ light dressing and a quorn chicken patty on ww w/ mustard. Soooo full by the end of it. Yessum.
Oh yes, and after all that learning about boats, we saw this on the way home:
Yikes!

That flaming boat picture scared me!!!
